City and Colour Announces Global Tour
City and Colour, the recording alias for Dallas Green, is set to begin an extensive 2016 international tour that takes him through the US, UK and Europe, Australia then Canada.
On Monday January 11, Dallas Green (aka City and Colour) makes his US network television debut on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! He will perform the single “Lover Come Back,” which is currently #13 on the AAA Radio chart in the US.
That appearance will be followed by a 12-city US tour, primarily in the South. Green tours in Europe and the UK from Feb. 9 to Feb. 27. Of those 14 shows, three (in Cardiff, Manchester and London) have already sold out.
He begins an eight date Australian tour with a March 25 appearance at the famed Byron Bay Bluesfest. Theatre shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Thirroul have sold out well in advance.
Dates for the 2016 City and Colour Canadian tour have already been announced. The 13-city trek (mostly in arenas) promises to be one of the highest-grossing tours by a Canadian artist in the summer. It begins at Prospera Place in Kelowna, BC, on June 2, concluding at the Rock the Park festival in London, ON, on July 16.
Supporting City and Colour on the tour is Austin singer/songwriter Shakey Graves. City and Colour’s last national Canadian tour was in 2014, and it included a sold-out show at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. Industry observers expect this summer’s tour to eclipse that one, given the chart-topping reaction to Green’s latest album If I Should Go Before You. Out on Dine Alone, the album is City and Colour’s third consecutive Canadian chart-topper.
Green further expanded his audience via his hit collaboration with US star P!nk in the project You+Me. Their 2014 debut album rose ave charted at No. 1 in Canada, No. 4 in the US, No. 2 in Australia, and No. 6 in Germany.
