Megan Bonnell: Anna
Megan Bonnell – “Anna” (Cadence Music): This rootsy singer/songwriter received a very positive response to her most recent album, Magnolia.
One of its standout tracks, “Anna” has been given the live performance video treatment by Southern Souls' Mitch Fillion. Filmed at Joshua Van Tassel's Dream Date Studio, the video captures an intimate performance featuring Van Tassel (drums), Chris Stringer (guitar), Bret Higgins (bass), and Michael Eckert (pedal steel).
The tune neatly captures Bonnell’s clear and expressive vocal style and skill as a songwriter.
Look for this as part of her set when she heads out on a 10-date east coast tour this March alongside Great Lake Swimmers. Kicking off at Montreal’s La Sala Rossa on March 22, the tour concludes at The Seahorse Tavern in Halifax on April 1.
