Tiger & Bloom: Hearts On Fire

Tiger & Bloom - "Hearts On Fire" (Independent) This new pop duo has quickly attracted music industry interest, and this highly commercial debut single validates that.

Tiger & Bloom comprise vocalists and songwriters Tiger Rose and Rikki Bloom and the duo formed in 2015. “Both of us came together as two individual artists with our own personalities and no expectations,” Rose explains in a press release. "This band was born purely from a shared passion and love for music and songwriting and has given us both a rejuvenated energy and inspiration to create.”

Their male/female dynamic and the keyboard-fuelled sound is increasingly common these days, but the song is strong enough melodically to stand out. The vocal harmonies are well-executed, and the track sports impressive production values too, courtesy of producer/engineer Kevin Dietz (Strumbellas), plus mixer Mark Needham (Imagine Dragons, Fleetwood Mac).

Lyrically, the duo explains that “Hearts On Fire” "is a classic love tale about two young souls who are hopelessly in love and wanting to escape and take on the world together. In a world full of hate, fear, and political uncertainty, more and more people need hope and comfort in knowing that you can’t live without this other person. Whoever it may be in your life.”

A five-track debut EP has been completed in Los Angeles, with a couple of cuts produced by Canadian Brian West (Nelly Furtado, Maroon 5). No word on a release date yet. An act to watch.
