Private TV Revenue Falls

Private local TV stations brought in $117M less in ad revenue last year, the CRTC reported Monday — bringing their overall revenue down from $1.94B in 2013 to $1.8B in 2014. 

The sector invested $619.3M in the creation of programs made by Canadians, which included local news and drama series, and employed over 5,900 people in the same period. From this, $22.3M was spent on the production of music and variety shows.
