Sticky Fingers, the Rolling Stones' classic 1971 album, is to be reissued, finally, with its famous zipper cover.
The deluxe anniversary edition was schedule in April but a snag in manufacturing the original cover art pushed it back. Universal Music now has it scheduled for a June 9 release date.
The original was the first release on the band's Rolling Stones Records label, after having been under contract since 1963 with Decca in the UK and London Records in NA. Much of the recording for Sticky Fingerswas made using The Rolling Stones' mobile studio, which was recently purchased and refurbished by the National Music Centre in Calgary. Material included on that album will be included in the Stones' upcoming Zip Code summer tour which winds up July 15th at Quebec's Le Festival D’Été de Québec.
