Peter Steinmetz once loomed large in Canada's music biz, as a top gun entertainment lawyer, a senior partner at Toronto law firm Cassels Brock & Blackwell, as (a past) president of CARAS, and as executive producer of the Junos (between 1984 and 1993),

PS is back in the game as chair of not-for-profit music licensing agency Re:Sound. The announcement was made yesterday by agency president Ian MacKay.

Steinmetz will be joining existing Re:Sound board members: Annie Morin (ARTISTI), Graham Henderson (CONNECT), Stuart Johnston (CIMA), Lyette Bouchard (SOPROQ), Brad Keenan (ACTRA RACS), and David Jandrisch (MROC).
