Dean Brody is on a roll.
For starters, his current #1 best-selling single — "Bring Down the House" — has turned gold within eight weeks of its official release. It's the 4th the Chester Basin resident has had since signing with Open Road Recordings.
Its success follows an earlier announcement that Brody and his Gypsy Road album lead the pack with seven 2015 Canadian Country Music Award nominations. The CCMA award winners are to be announced on a televised event in Halifax on Sept. 13th, which itself comes just weeks in front of his ambitious national 22-city Road Trip arena tour that has him co-billed with Paul Brandt with support acts including Lindi Ortega and Jess Moskaluke appearing with them in BC and Ontario.
With the success of "Bring Down The House", Brody has become one of the few Canadian country artists to earn four certified gold singles since 2012. Earlier certified hits included "Bounty", "It’s Friday" and "Canadian Girls."
"With Brody heading into the CCMA Awards in Halifax and heading out on an extensive national tour this fall, it is hoped that 'Bring Down The House' will soon earn the same status as his arena anthem 'Canadian Girls' and become platinum," manager and label head Ron Kitchener stated this week.
