Rihanna: Work Ft. Drake

Rihanna – “Work” ft. Drake (Universal Music): Spencer Kornhaber pegs a smart clothesline in The Atlantic online about the inter-connectedness of this MOR soul ballad with other pebbles the Bajan billionaire has dropped from her 'accidentally' released Anti album. Kornhaber's thin treatise masterfully transforms deeply shallow into rich metaphor, but even gussied up explanations can’t override the obvious discovery that stripped of effects, and Drake’s Platinum presence, Rihanna’s “Work” is lazy work at best. This said, the single and album will generate millions and the media will go gaga ad nauseam. And then there's the tour, the runway shots, the cover stories—and  those damned stupid headphones that probably sound like shite.

Hook

Work, work, work
Work, work, work
You see me I be
Work, work, work
Work, work, work
You see me
Do me dirt, dirt, dirt
Dirt, dirt, dirt
For some of that
Work, work, work
Work, work, work
For you I got love, love, love
Love, love, love
When I came for my
Turn, turn, turn
Turn, turn, turn
