Poor Nameless Boy: Atlantic Ocean

POOR NAMELESS BOY – “Atlantic Ocean” (Chronograph): Poor Nameless Boy does actually have a name, Regina-based indie folk artist Joel Henderson. He put out his second album, Bravery¸ earlier in the year, and this track is deservedly gaining attention. His bio describes PNB as “a lighter version of John Mayer,” but don’t let that put you off. He has a warm and melodic voice, and there is enough substance in his lyrics to keep your attention. In “Atlantic Ocean,” he cautions a lover with wanderlust that “we’ll never feel close if you’re sending your love from a payphone.” Henderson recently had a short western Canada tour, and we’re hoping for more gigs to come.
