CMW Radio Music Award Nominees List Released
Coleman Hell, Alessia Cara, Whitehorse, and recent Oscar-nominee The Weeknd are among the 19th annual Canadian Radio Music Awards nominees.
Sponsored by Bell Media, the winners will be announced at a gala on Friday, May 6th at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. Feature performers include The Strumbellas, Coleman Hell, Ria Mae, Cold Creek Country, Scott Helman, and Jocelyn Alice.
Nominees include artists who have placed on the Canadian charts for the first time and who have achieved top airplay in different formats based on radio "spins," as recorded by Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems (BDS) in 2015. Votes cast by program directors, music directors, and on-air personalities determine the winners.
This year’s awards categories include: AC, Mainstream Rock, Modern Rock, CHR, and Country as well as the SOCAN Song of the Year and Fans’ Choice.
Radio listeners from across the country can vote online for the Fans' Choice Award, at: cmw.net
