Adele's 25 Has Now Sold 1m Copies In Canada

Adele has become the third artist in the Canada SoundScan era to have two albums hit the one million sales mark. Her November 20, 2015 release, 25, (XLR/Beggars) becomes the 13th album in the era to reach the figure.

She follows Shania Twain and the Backstreet Boys in having two million sellers. It took only 22 weeks for the album to hit the million mark, the third fastest in the in the market--only behind Celine Dion’s Let’s Talk About Love, which took 13 weeks, and  the compilation package Big Shiny Tunes 2, which took 16 weeks.

In January, Forbes reported 25 having sold 15m copies worldwide with US sales pegged at 4m.
