Michael Kaeshammer: Everybody Catches Love Sometimes

Michael Kaeshammer-  "Everybody Catches Love Sometimes" (Independent): The prolific pianist/singer releases his eleventh album, No Filter, on Friday, preceded by this focus track. It is co-written by James Bryan (Philosopher Kings, Prozzak), and features Kaeshammer’s fluent and warm singing and playing. An added bonus is a guest turn by Randy Bachman on guitar.

We’ve heard the entire album, and can state that it’ll surely please his fan base. It is typically eclectic, and the album title confirms that MK follows his own muse. “The songs here are just things I wanted to write,” he explains. “If they sound as if they have been influenced by a lot of different things, then that is just the way it is. To me, it just sounds like my music.”

Kaeshammer tours China regularly now, and has a seven date tour there in October. He headlines Massey Hall in Toronto on Feb. 11, proof that his charm in live performance has become well-known.
