UMG On Track To Post $5B In Revenues

Streaming revenues from recorded music comfortably surpassed $1B at Universal Music Group in the first nine months of 2016, up 64.3% on the same period in 2015.

MBW analysis shows that was enough to push overall recorded music sales to US$3.1B, up 2.9% year-on-year (or 3.8% using the constant currency/perimeter yardstick).

According to UMG’s latest results from Vivendi, the entertainment conglomerate is on course to post revenues somewhere above $5B across company divisions – including publishing, merchandising, and live.
