Timber Timbre: Grifting

Timber Timbre - "Grifting" (Arts & Crafts): The quartet's signature brand of atmospheric melancholia is replaced by a funky feel more evocative of ‘80s-era Prince on this track from the forthcoming album, Sincerely, Future Pollution.

It's a tease and a pleasing one that works in their favour as it veers from the same-old grooves we've known and yet keeps the resonant vocals of Taylor Kirk in the spotlight of the mix.

Auteurs in sound, the band has also made its mark with a series of imaginative music videos, acknowledged with their Chad VanGaalen-directed 2015 Prism Prize winner, "Beat The Drum Slowly."

That track record of excellence is maintained here, with a clip directed, animated and produced by Elenor Kopka.

Timber Timbre opened a 12-city European tour in Rennes, France, last night. They follow with a North American tour that includes concerts in Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto.
