Canada’s national blues awards program, tasked with promoting blues music and recognizing outstanding achievement in the field, is set to hold its 21st annual at Koerner Hall in Toronto this coming Monday.

The Maple Blues Awards, Canada’s national blues awards program tasked with promoting blues music across Canada, and recognizing outstanding achievement in the field, is set to hold its 21st annual at Koerner Hall in Toronto this coming Monday, Jan. 15.

With 16 categories, favourites to win include Dawn Tyler Watson, Harrison Kennedy, Steve Hill, and The Harpoonist & The Axe Murderer.

Winners in all categories (excluding the instrumental categories) are decided by blues fans across Canada. Voting occurs online each November.

Kid Cudi Cancels Insano World Tour After Breaking Foot: ‘The Injury Is Much More Serious Than I Thought’

Cudder was slated to hit the road in June on a tour that included three big Canadian dates.

Kid Cudi is canceling his upcoming Insano World Tour {which included stops in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal) due to an injury suffered while performing at Coachella over the weekend.

Cudi relayed the news to his fans in a heartfelt note on Wednesday (April 24), in which he revealed that he actually broke his calcaneus — the bone that forms at the heel — in the stage fall.
