Matt Mays – ‘Perfectly Wasted’ (Warner Music): This third single from May’s most recent album Once Upon a Hell of a Time follows "Faint of Heart" and "NYC Girls" that have both charted top 10 at Canadian Active Rock radio. It’s an album with depth, and this track is custom made for in-dash playlists alongside classic road-trip tunes pulled from Damn the Torpedoes and Born to Run.

Co-written with Loel Campbell, he shares that he wrote this “for my friends back home in Nova Scotia. I’ve got a great group; we stay in touch every day pretty much. We have the best of times, and I’ve had my share of parties and good times.

"You’re not ruining your life; you’re just spending quality time with your best friends. It’s kind of about that, about getting out to where nothing matters but good times and serious laughs. Perfectly wasted is about exactly that. Sort of innocence I suppose.”

Upcoming shows include London’s Music Hall on May 3, and Massey Hall the night following. Louis Thomas’s Sonic Entertainment is managing, and Jack Ross at APA handles all bookings.
