Nominees For The 2019 Indies Announced

The 19th Annual Independent Music Awards honour the best Canadian indie artists. The event takes place during CMW, on May 11, at the Phoenix Concert Theatre. Voting is now open.

Canadian Music Week has announced the nominees for the 2019 Indies - The 19th Annual Independent Music Awards - presented by Jim Beam with Indie88.


U.S Girls, breakthrough artist Dizzy, Saskatchewan's favourite sons The Dead South, Francophone post-punk band Jesuslesfilles, and artist/activist Jeremy Dutcher are among the Canadian artists nominated in the 14 categories for this year's awards.

Both public and industry votes decide the winners of the Indies. Cast your vote here by May 5th.

The  Indies are on May 11 at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto, and feature performances by The Elwins, La Force, Born Ruffians, and the winner of the Jim Beam Talent Search.
