Trinh Tham has joined Universal Music Canada (UMC) as Senior Vice President, Revenue & Digital Strategy where she will oversee all digital marketing, streaming and music strategy, data analytics and commercial affairs teams, under the leadership of Chairman & CEO Jeffrey Remedios and the executive team.


“Trinh is a proven leader who thrives at the intersection of culture and business. She is an accomplished brand strategist who uses bold and creative ideas to drive revenue growth and deliver impactful results,” said Remedios. “Across this new portfolio, she’ll further elevate a group of UMC’s top performers, offering a global perspective to benefit our artists, partners, and clients as we bring Canadian artists to the world. We’re excited to welcome her to the team.”

She has previously built a reputation for innovative strategic thinking in the media and entertainment, technology, retail, grocery, and foodservice industries.

Tham joins UMC from fashion retailer Harry Rosen, where she was EVP & CMO for the iconic luxury menswear brand. In that role, she reinvented the way the company connected with clients and drove business growth through brand strategies, integrated marketing, Customer Relationship Management, and more, tripling the revenue of their E-Commerce channel and enabling new category launches and a range of technology solutions to improve the client experience.

Prior to joining Harry Rosen, she held various senior roles including Interim Senior Vice President of Marketing at Sobeys Inc., VP Integrated Marketing at Tim Hortons, and Head of Marketing for Entertainment Brands at Bell Media, where she launched CraveTV, digital products and popular TV series and sporting events. Tham is passionate about making progress in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and giving back to purpose-driven communities. She currently volunteers with multiple organizations, serving on various boards.

Cudder was slated to hit the road in June on a tour that included three big Canadian dates.

Kid Cudi is canceling his upcoming Insano World Tour {which included stops in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal) due to an injury suffered while performing at Coachella over the weekend.

Cudi relayed the news to his fans in a heartfelt note on Wednesday (April 24), in which he revealed that he actually broke his calcaneus — the bone that forms at the heel — in the stage fall.
