As many as 10 million Canadians are now listening to podcasts and Bell Media's podcast network is already available to audiences on a variety of platforms. The inclusion of its branded shows on Spotify marks a significant step in securing top status for its brands in a growing market at home.
The newly inked deal is designed to create a unique experiential fan event in Hamilton, ON, as part of Country Music Week in September. Blazing the trail for the new collaboration is the first-annual CCMA Country Run, an interactive 5K even that will see country music fans run alongside some of their favourite artists.
Performing at an undisclosed location, the concert will be broadcast across Virgin Radio-branded stations in Canada, on CHUM FM in Toronto, and streamed on iHeartRadio.ca.
