Jane's Party: Satellite

Jane's Party - Satellite (Indie): This Toronto modern-rock band has kicked off 2019 in fine style with the release of a new album, Casual Island, featuring collaborations with DJ Skratch Bastid, Leland Whitty (BADBADNOTGOOD) and Kirty (Fast Romantics), with a strong assist from producer Derek Hoffman (The Trews, Arkells, Elwins).

The latest single from the new album, “Satellite”  has already picked up adds on Indie88, SiriusXM The Verge and CBC R2. Nothing surprising about that, for it is a well-constructed, melodic and radio-friendly tune. Call it a tale of lust at first sight: "You were there in the crowd in your Louboutins. And I won't ever forget just what I saw. With your high heels on and your braided crown, You lit that place oh it was burning down."

Jane's Party recently completed a nine-city European tour supporting Tom Odell, playing to crowds of 10,000+. The group has previously supported artists such as Arkells, Sam Roberts Band, Blue Rodeo, Stars, Lights, Lowest Of The Low, and The Sadies.

Last year, Jane’s Party members visited Iqaluit, Nunavut for the Alianait Arts Festival. The band taught workshops, collaborated with a multitude of artists and ran the festival’s "Rock School."

Jane’s Party plays a Junofest show in London on March 16, at Union 10, followed by a March 29 Buffalo gig and other Ontario shows in April. Dates here
