Grimes, DVBBS, JJ Wilde, SNRK Lead Indie Awards Nominations

Canadian Music Week (CMW) has announced the nominees for the 2021 Indies – the 20th annual Independent Music Awards – presented by Jim Beam. Grimes leads with four nominations, followed by DVBBS, JJ Wilde, and Snotty Nose Rez Kids, with three nods each. The Indie Awards will be streamed Sunday, May 30, featuring recordings shot live from Toronto’s El Mocambo.

The online awards show is to be hosted by Indie88;s Josie Dye and feature performances by July Talk, Sam Roberts Band, Half Moon Run and Monowhales, and" special guest" appearances from  Walk Off The Earth, Iskwē and Tom Wilson. 2020 Jim Beam National Talent Search winner CZN will also make an appearance.
